On Common Grounds
Jan 27 @ 6:00 am – 11:00 am

Simple things in life make our daily journey less challenging: a cup of coffee, time with neighbors and visitors, and a chance to lift those in need.
Beginning on Sunday, December 9 and continuing Sundays through the end of January, Pamlico Rose Institute for Sustainable Communities, joined by Eagles Wings, Open Door Community Center, Red Cross of Eastern North Carolina, and other community-based service groups, will operate a coffee experience called On Common Grounds. The host is THE CONTEMPORARY ART EXCHANGE at 127 E. Main Street. From 7am to noon, the gallery will transform into a neighborhood coffee shop.
Our beverage selection will be brewed coffee, hot teas, and cocoa. Pastries and snacks will vary. There will be no charge for the coffee and pastries, but donations are encouraged and gratefully accepted. ALL proceeds will go to the featured community-based non-profit of the day.
Baristas are volunteers from participating non-profits. Every Sunday, we will provide the amount raised the previous week.
Healthy, safe, and resilient communities require effort. On Common Grounds is a great place to start. Come by to savor hot coffee and enjoy warm company, while contributing to those in need.
